Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagode AutomatikHier präsentiert sich eine wunderschöne Pagode als 280 SL mit Automatikgetriebe nach einer umfangreichen "nuts and bolts restoration". Der SL wurde im Jahr 2001 bei "Fritz Wallner Classic" in München mit einem Tachostand von ca. 50.000 Meilen bis auf die letzte Schraube zerlegt und nach Datenkarte wieder neu aufgebaut. Somit ist das Fahrzeug "matching numbers" und "matching colors".Nach dem vorsichtigen entfernen der Lackierung präsentierte sich das Blechkleid in unfall- und nahezu rostfreiem Zustand, was den Wiederaufbau deutlich vereinfachte. (Im Beifahrer-Fußraum war eine 1 Euro große Durchrostung, mehr nicht!!!)Die Karosserie besteht somit immer noch aus allen original Blechteilen von 1970!Es gibt viele auf neu restaurierte Pagoden, jedoch auch mit neuen Kotflügeln, Seitenteilen, Kofferraumboden, usw.Alle Teile innen wie außen wurden nach Mercedes Vorgaben überholt oder mit Mercedes Teilen erneuert, bis hin zum Becker Europa Radio. The SL was disassembled down to the last screw in 2001 at "Fritz Wallner Classic" in Munich with a speedometer reading of approx. 50,000 miles and rebuilt according to the data card. Thus the vehicle is "matching numbers" and "matching colours".After careful removal of the paintwork, the bodywork presented itself in an accident-free and almost rust-free condition, which made the rebuild much easier. (In the passenger footwell there was a 1 Euro rust-through, nothing more!!!).So the body still consists of all original 1970 sheet metal parts!There are many Pagodas restored to new, but also with new wings, side panels, boot floor, etc.All parts inside and outside have been overhauled according to Mercedes specifications or renewed with Mercedes parts, up to the Becker Europa radio.
