In 1969, the new Daimler Sovereign, based on the Jaguar XJ6, was announced as a version of the XJ6. The only differences were a well-proportioned (and perhaps more attractive) fluted radiator in the Daimler tradition, a matching fluted trim on the trunk, Daimler emblems on the wheel hubs and steering wheel, and a chrome strip down the center of the hood.The Daimler variants had the same range of colors as the Jaguar models. Mechanically, there were no changes. The car was purchased in Madrid in May 1970 and had only one owner until 2024, when his heirs sold it to the current owner, who carried out the necessary mechanical and paint repairs.In 2017 it was registered as a historic vehicle with the number H-2994-BBF.
