For sale early Land Rover 86" Series 1 model manufactured 1954; LHD model with 4 cylinder 1997cc IOE petrol engine.The vehicle is in general good and original condition apart from some smaller items as rear lights; wiper motor; some dash switches which are not original. The 2 liter engine looks very fresh and is an engine which was in the past reconditioned by the Belgian army. The engine starts very well and runs really smooth. The car does drive; gearbox feels nice and works well; no strange noises. The brakes work but they would need some attention as the car stood some years. Most electric work. The chassis looks nice and solid; in the past there has some welding been done at the rear crossmember/spring hanger and some welding at the bulkhead outriggers. The bulkhead is in good useable condition, the footwels have some patches repaired. The car was originally supplied to the Belgium Gendarmerie in Dark Blue. Trace of the dark blue is still vissible as some special features for the Belgian Police. The car has Belgium Documents; it is driveable but requires some attention to put back in use or a nice start for fulle restoration as this is still a complete and running vehicle.
