Only the doors remained unchanged.The 993 is the last generation of the 911 to feature an air-cooled engine. In the case of the Carrera 4S, that meant a 3.6L six-cylinder producing 285 hp. With this particular car, however, things are a little different. This is a Carrera 4S Plus, a version made available at the end of the model’s lifecycle in 1998 for the Swiss market. Experts will immediately notice in the service book and on the sticker under the hood what makes this car extra special: option code X51.Back then, for a considerable premium, you could have the factory modify the engine. Choosing this option increased the displacement to 3.8L, boosting output to a remarkable 300 hp. It is said that only around 20 examples of the 4S Plus were delivered with this package, making it exceptionally rare. In addition, the X51 includes visual elements such as an X51 badge on the center console, red markings on the gear lever, hardback Turbo seats, and red brake calipers.The first owner configured this car with great taste and care.
