For Sale: BMW E34 525ixMake year: 1992Country of origin: Switzerland , French cantonI'm the second owner of the car - first ones were the father and son, who drove it in London, before I bought it.I purchased the vehicle in the UK in year 2013, from a garage which specialises in LHD cars.Gearbox: Manual, 5 gearsMileage: below 243000kmVIN: WBAHD71020GC17264Engine: M50B25, non-vanos, 141kw/192hp, non modified, factory standard.Permanent 4x4 drive, hydro-operated LSD, in normal conditions - 64% rear, 36% front, power output splitAccident and damage free car - all body panels original as they left the factory, no structural damage of the chassis.Less than 3 years ago, the car got a complete bodywork and paint restoration procedure (pictures of the whole process present + the invoice). I've decided to do so, only to improve the visual aspect of the car after 31 years, and to get rid of the usual to E34 rust spots.It's a non sunroof body, so there was no serious repair required.At the same time, a professional chassis, closed panels and profiles rust-proofing procedure has been completed.Polish MOT/TÜV valid till: 25.05.27Insurance policy valid till: 23.04.27During 13 years of my ownership, has been replaced:engine coolant radiator, complete clutch set, front suspension bushings, control arms, ball joints, tie rods, bearings, gearbox and diff oil, front discs and pads, 3x battery (under the rear passenger's seat, "+" terminal under the bonnet in this version).Recently, in June, due to corrosion after... 34 years - metal fuel lines (7) and necessary rubber pipes, so brand new now + new fuel filter.The original 16 inch steel rims (ET54) I bought the car on, were in a poor condition, so I quickly replaced them with the E46 (ET47) 17" RIAL alloy wheels. I also add the same model RIAL wheels, but 16" for winter, but the winter tires on those need to be replaced.The engine oil has been regularly changed - usually due to age of it, not the car's mileage. The car has never been modified, "abused", overheated, drifted or used in a wrong way. The engine, drive train and gearbox are all in a very good condition.Very smooth and comfortable to drive on a German autobahn ;)I don't have the original headlights, but I will add the front orange turn signals to swap if desired.I have bought this BMW in y2013, with the mileage of 205000km.Equipment:- Full / "large" OBD - unlocked- Cruise control- 4x electric windows- ABS- 2 zone, automatic AC (not working since I got the car, the compressor need to be replaced - propelling belt removed)- Power steering- Leather 3-spoke steering wheel and interior (the interior needs to be taken care of - cleaned and renovated - especially the front door cards and center console)- Shadow LineThe car is ready to be driven, but in the nearest future it would be advised to improve qnd replace:Rear brake discs, pads and elastic brake lines, 4x Summer and 4x winter tires (on those winter alloy wheels I add)Front shock absorber cushions x2 (shock absorbers without issues)Refurbish or replace the electro-hydraulic pump under the bonnet, which is responsible for the hydro-LSD. It's working, but there is a slight leak, so it needs sealing or mending. The ATF fluid of which pressure is used to lock the rear diff, doesn't leak on the ground, and it's level is not decreasing much.Improve the paint job on the bonnet, where it was fixed, as there is a cosmetic flaw.The plastic trim around the windscreen and the rear window could do with re-fitting, as it wasn't fixed in properly after the body renovation.Generally - a very nice, and well looked after car - both mechanically and in regards to the bodywork.Ready to be driven and enjoyed!A rare, working 4x4 example (9366 made worldwide), in sedan body, manual transmission, and without the sunroof. I only sell it because I bought already the R170 SLK, and the BMW is not being driven much anymore (since the last MOT, it's only done 180km in 1 year;), so it's just waiting for a new owner.During the last 13 years of my ownership, when I lived in the UK , it was just my holiday car at home, driven rarely even back then - Hence the original low mileage. Apart from driving the Mercedes now, I also have access to 2 other cars, so BMW is not being in use much anymore.When in use, it gives a lot of fun and pleasure thanks to its 4 wheel drive capabilities (useful especially in the winter;), and on bendy roads in Poland, in the mountains part where I live.The price is a quite stiff 12700 EUR, but I'm willing to negotiate, and reduce it slightly for a serious buyer.I'm happy to answer any questions or address doubts regarding the car.
