Introduced in 1979 as the successor to the legendary W116, the Mercedes-Benz W126 grew into one of the most iconic S-Classes ever built. Designed by Bruno Sacco, then Mercedes-Benz’s chief designer, the W126 embodied everything Mercedes stood for in the 1980s: style, solidity, refinement and technical perfection.This was the “top of the line” limousine of its time – the flagship that took comfort, safety and elegance to a new level.
