Over 90% of the cars produced were exported over its 8-year run. This period coincided with the absolute height Of SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) Racing series and as such it was only a matter of time before someone decided to campaign Triumph’s newest. Ironically, the first TR6 to hit the racetrack in 1968 was not a TR6 at all, but a TR250 rebodied by the American Triumph wizard, Kas Kastner. Kastner’s reputation was legendary, producing Triumph cars and racing engines that no one else could touch, in the SCCA or abroad.
