Deze Audi werd in 1984 nieuw geleverd in Duitsland. In 1998 werd de auto op Nederlands kenteken gezet in Nieuwegein. De eerste Nederlandse eigenaar was destijds voorzitter/secretaris van de Audi Coupé/Quattro Club. Over deze auto verscheen een uitgebreid artikel in AutoWeek (editie 3-2005). In 2008 kwam de Quattro in handen van de vorige eigenaar, die de auto ongeveer 15 jaar in bezit heeft gehad. Sinds de registratie in Nederland heeft de auto dus slechts twee eigenaren gehad. In tegenstelling tot veel andere exemplaren is dit exemplaar bijzonder origineel gebleven. Dankzij het bouwjaar is de Audi in Nederland wegenbelastingvrij. De witte lak vormt een fraaie combinatie met de originele 15 inch witte velgen. De carrosserie presenteert zich netjes en de lak verkeert in een verzorgde staat. Ook kunststof onderdelen, verlichting, ruiten en rubbers verkeren in een gave conditie. Wat opvalt is de originele staat waarin de auto verkeert, in combinatie met de leeftijd en de verzorgde staat.INTERIEURHet interieur is voorzien van de karakteristieke bruin geruite stoffen bekleding, die eveneens in een nette en originele staat verkeert. Verder beschikt de auto over een grijze skai hemelbekleding. Het gehele interieur, waaronder de bekleding het dashboard verkeren in een zeer nette en originele conditie. Op de achterbank kunnen twee aanvullende personen plaatsnemen. De kofferruimte biedt plaats aan het reservewiel. Kenmerkend is het digitale instrumentenpaneel, waarin onder meer de gemiddelde snelheid en het geschat aantal liter in de brandstoftank wordt weergeven. Verder beschikt de auto over een functionerende Grundig radio-cassettespeler. Tot de uitrusting behoren onder meer:• LCD-display (digitaal instrumentenpaneel), volledig werkend• Airconditioning• Elektrische ramen• Elektrisch verstelbare spiegels• Stoelverwarming• AchterruitverwarmingTECHNISCHOnder de motorkap ligt de bekende 2.144 cc vijfcilinder turbomotor met een vermogen van 200 pk. De motor is gekoppeld aan een handgeschakelde vijfversnellingsbak. De motor loopt goed en de versnellingsbak schakelt soepel. Recent zijn de klepsteelrubbers vervangen door een Quattro-specialist. De permanente vierwielaandrijving in combinatie met de turbomotor zorgt voor uitstekende grip en de karakteristieke rijbeleving waar de Quattro om bekendstaat. De Audi beschikt over een handmatig inschakelbaar middendifferentieel en achterdifferentieel via een trekknop op de middenconsole. Dankzij de aanwezige facturen is de onderhoudshistorie goed te volgen. In 2025 is voor circa € 20.000,- groot onderhoud uitgevoerd, waarbij onder meer de koppakking, krukaslagers, zuigers en oliepomp zijn vernieuwd. Ook zijn de motor en versnellingsbak gereviseerd. De velgen zijn voorzien van A-merk banden met nog voldoende profiel. De onderzijde van de auto is gedroogijsstraald (zie ook onze uitgebreide fotoreportage). De auto rijdt, remt en schakelt goed. De auto is voorzien van een hoogwaardige Scorpion RVS-sportuitlaat, voorzien van de originele Scorpion-markering en datumcode 7-97. In 1998, the car was registered in the Netherlands in Nieuwegein. The first Dutch owner was, at the time, chairman/secretary of the Audi Coupé/Quattro Club. An extensive article about this car appeared in AutoWeek (issue 3-2005). In 2008, the Quattro came into the possession of the previous owner, who owned the car for approximately 15 years. Since its registration in the Netherlands, the car has therefore had only two owners. Unlike many other examples, this particular car has remained exceptionally original. Thanks to its year of manufacture, the Audi is exempt from road tax in the Netherlands. The plastic parts, lights, windows and rubber seals are also in good condition. What stands out is the original condition of the car, given its age and the care it has been given.INTERIORThe interior features the characteristic brown chequered fabric upholstery, which is also in a neat and original condition. The car also features a grey vinyl headliner. The entire interior, including the upholstery and the dashboard, is in a very neat and original condition. The rear seat can accommodate two additional passengers. The boot has space for the spare wheel. A distinctive feature is the digital instrument panel, which displays, amongst other things, the average speed and the estimated number of litres in the fuel tank. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The engine runs well and the gearbox shifts smoothly. The valve stem seals were recently replaced by a Quattro specialist. The permanent four-wheel drive, combined with the turbocharged engine, ensures excellent grip and the characteristic driving experience for which the Quattro is renowned. The Audi features a centre differential and rear differential that can be engaged manually via a pull-out knob on the centre console. Thanks to the invoices on file, the service history is easy to trace. In 2025, a major service was carried out at a cost of approximately €20,000, during which the head gasket, crankshaft bearings, pistons and oil pump were replaced, amongst other things. The engine and gearbox were also overhauled. The alloy wheels are fitted with premium-brand tyres that still have sufficient tread depth. The underside of the car has been dry-ice blasted (see also our extensive photo report). The car drives, brakes and changes gear well. It is fitted with a high-quality Scorpion stainless steel sports exhaust, bearing the original Scorpion marking and date code 7-97.
