This 1980 Porsche 911SC coupe is one of approximately 400 Weissach Coupes produced exclusively for the US market. Initially routed through Los Angeles, California, the car has recently resided in The Netherlands, where it has been the subject of a refurbishment carried out by Sportscars-Holland in Nijkerk. The car was disassembled, the body was refinished in its original Black Metallic, and the cabin was reupholstered in the Weissach scheme of Doric Grey with Burgundy accents. The 3.0-liter flat-six and the five-speed manual transaxle were rebuilt, a process that included a conversion to Dilavar lower head studs and Carrera 3.2-specification chain tensioners, and the brake and suspension systems were also overhauled. This US-market, special-edition 911SC coupe has travelled 90 miles following its overhaul, and it is now offered by the owner in Nijkerk, Netherlands, with a German-language Porsche certificate, photographs from the refurbishment, removed parts, and Dutch registration documents.The 911SC Weissach was produced to honor Porsche’s motorsport center in Weissach, Germany, and the special edition included a whale-tail rear spoiler as standard. The subframe was bead-blasted prior to the application of a clear coat.
