Everywhere you look there’s leather and wood, a glorious 4.2 V8 and those unmistakable classic Jaguar lines – it simply doesn’t get any better.This generation of the XK, known as the X150, is truly a delight. Its classically styled body is crafted entirely from aluminium, making it lighter than its predecessor. The cabin offers generous space, and the seats are larger and more comfortable than in the earlier model. What has remained, thankfully, is the wonderful AJV8 – further refined here and presented as a 4.2-litre V8, paired with a perfectly shifting six-speed automatic gearbox.And what a sound that V8 makes! Deep, rich, and unmistakably eight-cylinder. Drive it gently and the engine hums in the background, always present but never intrusive. Push it a little harder, and the V8 comes alive – a throaty roar through the twin exhausts just behind you. A truly magnificent grand tourer.After just one year, this Jaguar was brought over from Germany, where it had been purchased from an official Jaguar dealer. A true enthusiast imported it into the Netherlands and had it maintained year after year by the dealer – exactly the kind of history we love to see.And what a beauty it is. Finished in stunning Midnight Black – a deep, elegant black with a subtle blue hue in sunlight – complemented by Burr Walnut veneer. The Ebony Black perforated leather seats are in excellent condition. A beautiful and sporty combination, full of character and presence.No expense has been spared on maintenance – you can hear it, see it, and feel it in everything. Drive it over a rough road and the Jaguar remains solid and composed, something that can’t always be said for the average example on the market. Wandering steering, worn leather, a sagging headlining, a damaged driver’s seat… this XK is in a completely different league.Upon arrival, we carried out a full service and fitted a new battery. The tyres have covered only a few hundred kilometres and are therefore in excellent condition. The original document folder is present, and both keys are included and fully functional.You may be wondering if there’s anything to note. In truth, there’s very little to criticise: a few minor imperfections on the right front wing, two wheels with small scuffs, and a light scratch on the front bumper. The convertible top operates perfectly, smoothly and without hesitation.
