An absolute dream and truly a pleasure to drive: this S63 AMG equipped with the highly desirable 5.5 Biturbo. The sound is phenomenal and nothing short of astonishing.The car comes from a well-respected family in Italy. They design luxury bags and live in Florence. Due to the launch of a new brand, the Mercedes was frequently driven across the Autostrada – Autobahn and spent a lot of time in Germany and Switzerland. Subtly configured and in the colour combination everyone desires. With an S63, you have nothing to prove. The red-and-black combination is extremely classy and really comes to life when standing next to the vehicle. Subtle touches, such as the silver-painted brake calipers, ensure more than just approval everywhere you go.The options list is equally impressive, as Mr. Sabatini knew exactly what he was ordering. This S63 is equipped with ABC suspension. Already in the older “CL” series C215 and C216, the ABC system was a highlight—eliminating body roll in corners. However, in the C217, the designation for this S63, the system is on a completely different level. The car literally reads the road surface, detecting imperfections and filtering them out entirely. Brilliant and magnifique—especially at higher speeds, where you feel absolutely nothing from the road. At least, when you’re in “Comfort” mode. Personally, I am not easily impressed, but in “Sport” mode your heart skips a beat and you may well cross yourself before pressing the accelerator. The car fully awakens, the suspension tightens, and the gearbox shifts faster—accompanied by a loud crack from the exhaust unlike anything I have ever heard. Everyone is honestly impressed by the 5.5 Biturbo, which—without OPF/particulate filters—still sings its majestic soundtrack. “Unfortunately,” I myself purchased an S63 Cabriolet with the rather tame 4.0 Biturbo, which in no way compares to the 5.5 Biturbo. But life is about choices, and you only live once. A fantastic machine and truly one of those “must-have” cars. This one deserves to be crossed off your bucket list.Eine absolute Traumkombination und wahrlich ein Genuss, diesen S63 AMG mit dem begehrten 5.5 Biturbo zu fahren. Der Klang ist phänomenal und schlichtweg unfassbar.Das Fahrzeug stammt aus einer angesehenen Familie in Italien. Sie entwerfen Taschen und leben in Florenz. Aufgrund der Gründung einer neuen Marke wurde der Mercedes häufig auf der Autostrada – Autobahn genutzt und war viel in Deutschland und der Schweiz unterwegs. Dezent konfiguriert und in der Farbkombination, wie man sie haben möchte. Mit einem S63 muss man nichts beweisen. Die Kombination aus Rot und Schwarz wirkt äußerst edel und entfaltet ihre Wirkung besonders, wenn man neben dem Fahrzeug steht. Der subtile Touch, wie die silber lackierten Bremssättel, sorgt dafür, dass man überall anerkennend betrachtet wird.Die Optionsliste ist mindestens ebenso spannend, denn Herr Sabatini wusste genau, was er bestellte. So verfügt der S63 über ABC-Fahrwerk. Bereits aus der älteren „CL“-Serie C215 und C216 war das ABC-System ein Highlight, da es Kurvenneigungen nahezu eliminierte. Beim C217, der Bezeichnung für diesen S63, befindet sich das System jedoch auf einem völlig anderen Niveau. Das Fahrzeug liest buchstäblich die Straße, erkennt Unebenheiten und filtert sie vollständig heraus. Großartig und magnifique – insbesondere bei höheren Geschwindigkeiten spürt man keinerlei Straßenunebenheiten. Vorausgesetzt, man fährt im Modus „Comfort“. Persönlich bin ich selten beeindruckt, doch im Modus „Sport“ schlägt das Herz zweimal schneller und man macht unwillkürlich ein Kreuzzeichen, bevor man das Gaspedal betätigt. Das Fahrzeug erwacht vollständig zum Leben, das Fahrwerk spannt sich an und das Getriebe schaltet schneller – begleitet von einem harten Schlag im Auspuff, wie ich ihn zuvor noch nie gehört habe. Was für eine Maschine.Weiterhin wurden zahlreiche entscheidende Optionen gewählt, wie Distronic Plus mit sämtlichen Fahrassistenten, Multikontur- und Massagesitze, Leder Exclusiv Nappa mit Alcantara-Himmel, Nachtsichtassistent mit Personenerkennung sowie die 20-Zoll-Schmiedefelgen.Schnell weiter zur Optionsliste:(Sie Englisch)Nachfolgend eine Zusammenfassung der Wartungshistorie, die selbstverständlich vollständig bekannt ist und durchgehend gemäß Mercedes-Vorschrift durchgeführt wurde. Jeder ist aufrichtig beeindruckt vom 5.5 Biturbo, der ohne OPF-Filter seinen majestätischen Klang entfalten kann. „Leider“ habe ich selbst einen S63 Cabriolet mit dem eher zahmen 4.0 Biturbo gekauft, der dem 5.5 Biturbo in keiner Weise das Wasser reichen kann. Aber gut – man lebt nur einmal. Ein großartiges Auto, das man einfach gehabt haben muss. Dieses Fahrzeug gehört auf jede Bucket List.
