For sale is a discontinued project: BMW E39 530d sedan, manual transmission, color 303 Cosmosschwarz metallic.The car is quite well equipped: auxiliary heater (Webasto), full electric comfort seats with memory, electric steering wheel with memory and multifunction controls, heated seats, remote garage opener integrated in the headliner (3-button remote), fully functional factory telephone, original radio with cassette player, and no problematic sunroof. Interior and leather are in very good condition, not worn out or sagging.This E39 was built strictly for myself in a “return to OEM” style, so there is no aftermarket M-package, no angel eyes, no xenon rings — everything is as it left the factory in 1999. The only modification are the rear taillights, replaced with pre-facelift clear lights because I could not stand the old ones as they visually ruined the car. The front headlights were replaced with new OEM-style units (with orange indicators) because the old ones were already beyond repair.I have invested a lot of money into the car (around 6500 EUR), including full mechanical work, complete body restoration, new sill panels and fender work, and full underbody corrosion protection. The car is fully prepared for winter use for many years to come.The project is being discontinued due to financial reasons. I currently own five cars and an old house that requires renovation, so it is time to reduce my fleet, including this E39.During my ownership, the car completed several long-distance trips of 1700 km without any issues. Overall condition is “get in and drive”, aside from a few minor things that still need attention.The engine runs like new: no smoke, strong performance, no oil consumption, starts immediately even at -15°C.
