From its very beginnings, the BMW brand was driven by the ambition to create cars that, in addition to their distinctive style and high-quality workmanship, also offered a pleasant driving experience.In late 1934, the Bavarian manufacturer presented the 319 model equipped with a completely new, six-cylinder 1. 9-liter engine.It was characterized by smooth, soft running thanks to its long cylinder stroke and an output of 45 horsepower.Although the numbers don't indicate a powerful engine, the BMW 319 was a very fast car in the 1930s.It also owed its good performance to its low curb weight.During its two years of production, the Eisenach factory produced 6, 646 319s in four body styles, of which the then-most expensive Sport Cabriolet version accounted for a small percentage.This particular BMW has a long, documented history in Poland. The car was transported to the occupied territories during World War II, which it survived in well condition.Its fate is unknown from the 1960s, when it was acquired by its long-time owner, with whom it remained until 2000.After undergoing restoration at the "J. J. Baliccy" vintage car restoration studio in 2003, it entered a private collection, where it spent over 20 years in a locked garage.Today, the BMW is a fully operational, fully functional classic car, representing the best of 1930s motoring style, and a valuable investment.Its history has also been etched in Polish cinema.The car we offer can be seen in films such as:– Mission (1980)– The Twenties...
