An American icon in legendary Torch Red. Beautifully preserved C5 with carefully chosen performance upgrades, without sacrificing character or reliability. Much quicker and more aggressive than a stock version. 3 private owners in 28 years (I have owned it since May 2018). Never driven on salted winter roads, always garaged.History & Accident Record:Purchased in Florida (June 1998), 1st owner in Utah for 14 years. In 2012, imported to Poland through Germany after a minor accident (driver's door, left front fender, part of wheel arch). No airbags deployed, no chassis/wheel damage. Two panels repainted. Original damage photos available by VIN. Second minor incident (July 2025): parking scratch on the front bumper from a tow hitch (bumper repainted). Total 3 repainted panels, rest is original factory paint.Note on mileage: The odometer should be increased by approx. 21,000 km due to an error made by the first Polish owner during the first registration in Poland (entered 50,006 km instead of the actual ~71,000 km / 44k miles from the US).Maintenance & Service:• 110,000 km: Iridium spark plugs, all fluids changed (brake, power steering, coolant, diff), 3D alignment, ceramic coating.• 130,000–135,000 km: All belts, pulleys & tensioners (ACDelco/GM/Gates), alternator rebuilt, new water pump & thermostat (GM), valve cover gaskets.• 140,000 km: Spark plugs, wires, diff oil. New crank pulley & front seal (crankshaft drilled & pinned to fix the known C5 issue, secured with ARP bolt).• 153,000 km (2025): Brake fluid, coolant, power steering fluid, new brake pads.• 165,000 km (2026): New oil pressure sensor (GM), inner/outer tie rods, sway bar links, 3D alignment, wheel balance, fresh ceramic coating, AC service.Custom Rebuilt Transmission & Drivetrain:At 140,000 km, the 4L60E automatic transmission was completely rebuilt into a high-performance custom unit using premium parts from Sonnax and Superior (cost of such build today is €10,000+). Shifts completely differently than stock.• Parts used: Sonnax Smart Sun Shell, Powerpack Rebuild Kit Stage 5 (with Powerpack 3-4), Master Solenoid Kit (EPC, Shift, TCC PWM, 3-2), Superior Shift Correction Kit, Superior HP Billet Super Servo (2nd & 4th apply). Rebuilt torque converter.• Torque tube: Completely rebuilt at the same time (new couplings, seals).Engine, Exhaust & Tuning:• Performance air intake.• Full exhaust from engine back: 1 7/8" long-tube headers, X-pipe, aftermarket axle-back with additional bypass mod. Deep, classy V8 sound at low RPM, aggressive race-car roar at high RPM (not overly loud on highways).• Engine & transmission professionally road-tuned by Dr Vette. Performance is close to an early C5 Z06.• LS1 engine in perfect condition. Oil pressure at warm idle: ~210 kPa. Oil changed every 5,000–10,000 km. Completely dry underneath, no leaks.Wheels, Suspension & Interior:• C6 Z06-style replica wheels (18" front, 19" rear), never curbed.• Lowered using factory ride-height adjustment bolts.• Interior is 100% original (including floor mats) and in mint condition. Everything works. AC blows freezing cold.• Brakes: 95% pad life remaining on one axle, 65% on the other. No vibrations.• Suspension, wheel bearings, and hubs have zero play.• Lights professionally converted to meet EU requirements.Any independent vehicle inspection is welcome.
