This exceptionally fine Land Rover Defender 130 double cab was sold new in Germany 2010 but imported to Sweden almost immediately. Equipped with highlights such as a snorkel, central locking, canopy, auxiliary lights, roof rack, bull bar, tow hitch, heated seats, spare wheel, and much more.In 2023 to 2024, the car underwent a major restoration, with invoices documenting over 550,000 SEK (49,000 EUR). The restoration included a complete mechanical and drivetrain overhaul with new fluids, seals, gaskets, bushings, and bearings. The braking system was renewed with new discs, pads, calipers, hoses, and a regulator, while the clutch, drivetrain mounts, belts, pulleys, and tensioners were also replaced. The turbo system and fuel lines, valves, and regulators were serviced, and adjustments were made to doors, locks, hinges, and window mechanisms.Extensive bodywork was carried out, including a full respray, powder-coating of parts such as the roof rack and grille, repair of rusted bolts and brackets, straightening of misaligned panels, and reinforcement of hinges and supports. The chassis number was also adjusted for inspection visibility.On the exterior, a new windscreen with trim was installed, along with powder-coated handles and roof rack. Mirrors, handles, and wipers were replaced or adjusted, mudflaps and fasteners were renewed, and lighting components, switches, and motors were refurbished.The electrical system was refreshed with new relays, switches, connectors, sensors, wiper motors, linkages, pumps, and wiring loom repairs, replacing corroded cabling throughout.The suspension received new torsion bars, bushings, and fasteners, with wheel alignment, balancing, and tyre adjustments performed. A set of five used 16” wheels was also fitted.Interior work included repairs to locks and latches, reinstallation of the instrument panel, fitting of new seals, gaskets, and clips, and adjustments to fittings and storage components.Overall, the project delivered a fully overhauled mechanical system, extensive body and paint restoration, electrical refurbishment, and refinished interior and exterior details, followed by inspections, approvals, and transport.
