1996 Chevrolet Tahoe GMT 400Post-facelift version with a 5.7 (350) V8 Vortec engine4L60e automatic transmission4x4 drive engaged as desiredMileage: 143,000 milesI have owned this car for a year and a half. It is one of my Amcars and throughout the entire time I have owned it, it has been regularly serviced and beautified so that it would serve me reliably for everyday driving.Considering my pedantry when it comes to cars and the end result, it has ultimately become a toy for summer and nice weather :)The Tahoe has never seen road salt, and I make sure that the Polish climate does not harm it.Until 2023, the car was driven in California, in a climate that is definitely favorable for classic cars. The underside of the car and the frame are in great condition.The car has never seen LPG.The Tahoe is very nicely equipped, it has a fabric interior, which I personally prefer in a 30-year-old car, because compared to leather, it shows no signs of age or wear. It was also factory-equipped with a sunroof, which is rare.During the year and a half that I have owned it, I have invested slightly over PLN 30,000 in its trouble-free and long life. Among other things, the following has been done:- Complete engine overhaul, all new gaskets, new timing belt, new spark plugs, ignition wires, new improved “spider”- Complete front suspension service- Air conditioning service, it is tight, charged and cools great in summer- Oil and gearbox filter replacement and rear axle oil replacement- Rear shock absorber replacement- New all-season tires purchased in 2024and much more.All services are documented and have been performed within the last 10,000 miles.Apart from the right front fender and right front door, the car is all in its original paint. The aforementioned elements were repaired after minor scratches, without the use of filler.The Tahoe was also well serviced in the US, including oil changes every 60,000 km and other services. This is documented, the car has a service book and service entries in Carfax.The engine runs beautifully, starts instantly even after 2-3 weeks of standing, and the transmission works perfectly.Despite its age, I am confident in this car; the 500 km trips I have taken this year to the mountains are no challenge for it.In summary, the car is in perfect condition for a 30-year-old vehicle and, considering the services I have performed, it will remain so for a long time.Throughout the entire period of my ownership, the Tahoe has been serviced at a reputable American car repair shop - Chester & Wasyl Garage.Everything in the car works 100% as it should, there is not a single thing that needs repair.Apart from the modified exhaust system, which sounds phenomenal, the car is in its original condition.Technical inspection valid until November 2026.If you are looking for a GMT 400, I dare to say that this is currently the most beautiful Tahoe GMT 400 in Poland. :)If you are interested, I will be happy to send you more detailed photos, videos, and information.Best regards, Michał
